BLACK VITCAS Heat Resistant Rope Seal Adhesive is a high temperature adhesive that is used to secure the rope seal in the fireplace doors. It is ideal for fixing loose ropes seals or when replacing the ropes.

Application: Shake the bottle to mix the contents thoroughly before use. Ensure that the metal groove is free from old seal by scraping any old adhesive out. Apply a bead of the adhesive directly from the bottle. Press the rope firmly into place. Leave for 20-25 minutes before closing the doors and the adhesive will set from the heat of the stove.

Tip: You should be able to place a peice of paper between the door and firebox then close the door and NOT be able to pull the paper out too easy, a nice tight seal will ensure correct preformance of your fireplace.
